Don't throw good knives loose into a drawer. It can damage the cutting edge and creates a safety risk when reaching into the drawer.
Use a knife block, magnetic rack, blade guard or knife roll. The important thing is that the blade is protected and the knife can be removed safely.
Always store knives clean and completely dry.
