Simple Mash

Quick, creamy mash perfect for easy meals.

Ingredients
- 4 large potatoes
- 2 tbsp butter
- ¼ cup milk, warmed
- ½ tsp salt
- Pepper, to taste
Method
- 1Peel the potatoes and cut them into even-sized pieces.
- 2Place the potatoes in a saucepan and cover with cold water.
- 3Add a small pinch of salt and bring to the boil.
- 4Reduce the heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are soft when pierced with a fork.
- 5Drain well and return the potatoes to the warm saucepan.
- 6Mash until smooth.
- 7Add the butter and gradually mix in the warm milk until the mash reaches your preferred consistency.
- 8Season with salt and pepper, then serve warm.
